How do I access the courses?


If you haven’t already registered or purchased a course then simply go to the Home page and select which course you wish to take by clicking on course title.

If you have already registered or purchased a course then simply Login and select which course you have started by clicking on course title. The Course title will also automatically update with your personal progress post login.

How do I update account info?


If you have forgotten or wish to change your password please use forgot password functionality by clicking here.

If you need to change your email address, name or NRDS ID please contact your local board directly.

I forgot which email address I used to register?

How do I update/change my NRDS ID?


All NRDS related items such as last name or NRDS ID issues should be directed to your local board

How do I get CE Credit for more than one state?


Unfortunately this is not available for this cycle

I did not receive my CE Confirmation (email)?


Please note there are two certificates:
  1. COE completion certificate confirms you have met the mandatory cycle requirements
  2. CE certificate confirms you have met the CE credit requirements for your state.
To access your CE certificate:
  1. Please login and make sure course info says you completed the CE Version and Completed Successfully. If not pls complete the course or take the CE Version of the course.
  2. Once successfully completed:
    1. The CE confirmation comes from compliance partner, the CE Shop via email. Please check your emails and your spam folder for email from CE Shop.
    2. Complete the additional steps required to earn your credits as outlined in CEShop email (complete survey and digital signature)
    3. If you have completed above you can login directly to access a copy of your certificate anytime at https://www.theceshop.com/login
    4. If you are still experiencing CE issues please contact CE Shop toll free at 1.888.827.0777 or support@theceshop.com.

My CE credits were not reported to state?

Which state did I select for CE?


  1. Please login and home page will automatically personalize to show you which course you selected.
  2. If you selected the CE Version it will clearly state under the Course title which state you selected.
  3. You also would have received via email.

What is the difference between COE and CE expiration date?


The CE Version of the course provides for two distinct outcomes:
  1. Successful completion meets NARs’ mandatory Ethics requirements. Current cycle deadline and therefore course expiry is December 31, 2018. You must complete the course prior to this date to earn that requirement.
  2. This version is also now CE approved in over 42 states. Each state has a unique deadline for completing the course. You must complete the course by this deadline to be awarded the CE credits.
  3. If you do not complete the course successfully by December 31st you can still complete the course for CE Credits as long as prior to the CE Credit deadline.

Why are there two versions of the Code of Ethics Course?


Both versions of the COE course meet the NAR Mandatory cycle requirements for members.

Members have provided feedback over the years that they wanted us to update the existing FREE NON-CE Code of Ethics Course which we have done here along with adding many more modules and flexible course path. This course continues to be free.

Members also asked for CE CREDIT CODE OF ETHICS Version. This course is accredited for CE in over 42 states. The course is $29.95 and also includes a number of free modules once successfully completed.

Did I complete the course and/or which version did I complete?


  1. Please login and home page will personalize to show you which course you selected
  2. And the course title will also personalize to show you progress. A big orange banner will say if you are in progress or completed.

How do I get to the exam in Illinois?


  1. Please login and make sure course info says you are in progress of the CE Version
  2. Click on the course title to launch your current position in the course.
  3. The exam is located after last module and has all Illinois proctor information (slide 49).
  4. If you have completed the course successfully you must schedule your exam (proctored). A unique username and password must be received by contacting the CE shop at 888.827.0777 or support@theceshop.com.

How many exam attempts do I have remaining?


NON CE version has no exam and unlimited attempts to successfully complete the course and module quizzes, however you must complete before the cycle deadline of December 31, 2018. CE Version:
  1. Please login and make sure course info says you are in progress of the CE Version
  2. Attempts clearly listed under course title tile.
  3. Reminder there are two completion outcomes for this version of the course:
    • CE Credit. Exam attempts are determined by State CE rules and listed clearly under course tile on home page. Plus you must complete successfully prior to the CE expiry date. Also listed clearly under the course tile on home page and determined by the State.
    • COE Cycle Credit. Must be completed successfully prior to December 31, 2018 to earn Code of Ethics cycle requirements.

What is my COE expiration date?

Why does my course say I have to take it again from beginning?


This message will only appear on the CE version of the course and indicates that you did not successfully pass the exam and all attempts have been exhausted and thus state rules say must retake the course from the beginning (at no cost) and retake exam until successfully completed.

Why does my course say it has expired?


Non CE Version has a deadline of December 31, 2018 to complete successfully in order to earn this cycle Code of Ethics requirement.

The CE Version of the course provides for two distinct outcomes:
